Four years ago, one of the 2008 presidential race’s big battleground states was North Carolina, which President Obama carried by the narrowest of margins. That does not appear to be the case in 2012, so the campaigns are shifting attention to other swing states still up for grabs — including get-out-the-vote events with celebrity endorsers. Bruce Springsteen will be covering Ohio; and Monday night in Colorado (which the FiveThirtyEight polling site rates as a dead heat with Obama clinging to a razor-thin lead), Ryan Adams will play a show for Obama in my former hometown of Boulder. Somebody go, and report back!
